ROSE CLAYTON
Rose Clayton is the founder of AgeWell Insurance Solutions. Her dedication to helping people understand and prepare for the unpredictability of how we will age took root more than two decades ago when her healthy 88-year old mother was diagnosed with the unthinkable—Alzheimer’s disease. After her family was turned upside down, Rose realized that “as we plan for retirement, there are future health care issues that need to be addressed, yet most of us are oblivious to them until they happen to us in our own family.”
Rose began her career in 2002 as a long-term care insurance specialist for GE Capital. Following her years there, she went on to serve as the manager of the long-term care insurance department for a national life insurance agency where she trained hundreds of insurance and financial professionals on long-term care planning for their clients.
As the internet was transforming how we connect with one another, Rose saw the potential it had to reach and educate people about long-term care planning. She joined the national broker team of LTC Connects, one of the industry pioneers in the online consultation for long-term care insurance. This virtual platform allowed her to work with clients from nearly every state in the nation to help them understand all of their long-term care planning choices. The transparency of her online “knowledge session” empowers each client with the education they need to make the decision that’s best for them.
Rose is certified in long-term care (CLTC) and is a member of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. She was quoted in The New York Times for their news article on gender pricing in long-term care insurance and has been a featured speaker on the benefits of long-term care planning at meetings of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
CATHIE LEWIS
Cathie began her insurance career with a local agency specializing in personal lines. Her focus and concentration rapidly shifted to long-term care planning, as she became intimately aware of the emotional and financial toll when caring for an elderly parent. Since that experience, her passion and desire has been to focus on the mounting concerns for today’s Baby Boomers facing long-term care issues for themselves or a family member.
Cathie’s commitment and goal is to be a trusted educator and advisor for her clients about the features and benefits of long-term care planning. She takes great pride in staying abreast of the most recent trends and legislation affecting this industry. She will work closely with supporting family members, CPA’s, CFP’s, attorneys and other insurance agents to develop a strategy and plan to protect their client’s assets and insure their future quality of life. “It is developing the right long-term care plan for each person or family client that I truly enjoy. I want to leave each appointment knowing we have discussed the issues and I have helped guide them toward making an important life decision.”
MARY OSBORN
Mary Osborn has over 32 years of experience in the financial services and insurance industry. Her practice has been focused in the area of insurance planning with extensive knowledge in Long-Term Care Insurance, Disability Insurance, Life Insurance, Employee Benefits and Retirement Planning.
After being her mother’s caregiver for over a decade and experiencing the financial, emotional and physical burden that caregiving entails, Mary changed the course of her career in 2000 to specialize in long-term care insurance. Her philosophy is to educate her clients about their choices for long-term care planning.
Mary frequently conducts long-term care educational seminars for professionals throughout the areas of SW Washington and Portland, Oregon including the Oregon Attorney Assistance Program. She consults with wealth and financial advisors and estate planning attorneys to educate and design long-term care plans for their clients. She is certified in long-term care (CLTC), is a member of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, and is certified by both the California Partnership for Long-Term Care and the National Long-Term Care Partnership programs.
Mary attended Northern Illinois University and Portland State University and currently serves as a board member of the Hellenic Cultural Center & Museum (HACCM) and the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society. She is the past President of HACCM, Chairwoman of the 2010 and 2017 HACCM Gala Fundraising Committees, and served on the Oregon Ballet Theatre Board of Directors for over ten years. She is married with two children, five grandchildren, two step-children and two step-grandchildren. She enjoys cooking, gardening and volunteer activities.
JAMI THOMPSON
Jami Thompson began her career in the financial services industry over 15 years ago and has focused on long-term care planning for the past 8 years. Her experience has taught her that often people are simply not educated about the risks and costs of needing long-term care. She believes in the importance of helping clients understand and prepare a plan for themselves and their family.
Jami is trilingual in English, Spanish, and Cambodian. When she’s not working, she enjoys hiking, reading, crafting and volunteer work in Southwest Washington where she lives with her husband and their two dogs.
